The family behind the brand is no stranger to the tequila trade. The patriarch–Don Felix Bañuelos–was the master tequilero at Destiladora de Los Altos and created Cazadores according to a longstanding family recipe. The tequila is made in the heart of the Los Altos region of Jalisco at the state-of-the-art Bacardi y Compania–NOM 1587–who also produce super-premium Corzo Tequila. The blue agaves the distillery uses to make its tequilas are highly prized and grow to maturity in the region's red volcanic soil and temperate climate.
